Independent Spotlight: Lady Du

Lady Du won her first DJ competition when she was just nine years old. She figured out

how to DJ before she could even tackle complicated math problems, which is remarkable. Her

father taught her all of the skills she needs. Her real name is Duduzile Ngwenya. She was born in

Gauteng, South Africa. She is a professional South African singer, songwriter, artist. She has

made many songs like Woza, Dakiwe, Catalia & more. She has 24k subscribers on Youtube and

1 million followers on Instagram.

Despite the fact that she began her profession at the age of nine, it wasn’t until 2020 that

she gained national prominence. She was ready to quit up at the time, as she would later admit,

but fame found her. She is currently engaged to Andile Mxakaza, who is one of the actors on

Isibaya. They had met 12 years beforehand but had only been allowed to date for four months. In

the year 2020, they rekindled their romance.

Taking to her Twitter page on Friday, the “Dakiwe” hitmaker dropped a bombshell when

she laid bare all her management troubles. In a series of tweets, Lady Du revealed how her

management team is sabotaging her career. “Guys, I’m going through it, I tell you. I curse the

day I signed my management contract,” says Lady Du. “Come join my company…” tweeted

celebrity publicist Jarred Doyle.“You need to find a new hard working manager who has your

best interest at heart,” added Maloke Phala. Lady Du is currently signed with Emextee, which

was founded by Thabiso Khati. Other artists signed with the company include Anele Zondo,

Babili Amos Shili, popularly known name Aymos and Gift Sibusiso Matjie, also known as

Mgiftoz SA.
