Sampha Sisay or better known for his stage name Sampha, is a British electronic music singer, songwriter and producer. Sampha is from Morden, London, United Kingdom. Sampha started making music early in his teenage years.
Sampha attempted to get MCs to rhyme over his beats, but he was turned down. In 2009 Sampha remixed the XX track “Basic Space” which launched his career. This led Sampha to have a busy 2010 and 2011.
Between these two years Sampha collaborated with artist like SBTRKT, Jessie Ware, and Lil Silva. Most of the tracks in SBTRKT’s self-titled album released in 2011 involved Sampha in some capacity.

As a producer Sampha has worked on and sang with Jessie Ware on the song “Valentine.” Sampha recently collaborated with Solonge Knowles on her latest project.
