Notorious Big also known as Biggie Smalls and Biggie is one of the most influential rappers of all time. This week marked the 19th anniversary of his death and although he was shot at the young age of 24, his legend lives on and will be known forever. He has not only influenced his fans but other rappers have looked to his songs for inspiration as well. Biggie grew up in Brooklyn and in his songs he talks about his struggles of growing up, drugs and dropping out of school. Biggie is one of the realest rappers where you can listen to his music and relate to him.
Some of his top hits include “Big Poppa”, “Hypnotize”, “Juicy”, “Mo Money Mo Problems”. All of these songs are still being played today in bars, clubs and on the radio. His lyrics are well known and if one of these songs get played anywhere with a crowd, it is guaranteed to get everyone out of their seats and singing.
Although it has been 19 years since we lost Biggie, he left his impression on everyone. His lyrics are heard all around the world and his legend will never be forgotten. It is a shame that he died so young, I can only imagine what he would be like today if he was still alive making music.
